Trump's "The Apprentice" Revival: The Golden Age of Streaming
Donald Trump’s ascent to fame got a turbo boost from The Apprentice, the 2004 NBC reality hit created by Mark Burnett that cast him as a commanding tycoon. With “You’re fired!” and a backdrop of helicopters and Trump Tower, the show—despite his real-world bankruptcies—sold his comeback of unshakable success, peaking at 28 million viewers for its first-season finale and earning him over $427 million across 14 seasons. Fast forward to March 10, 2025, and Trump’s hyping its revival on Truth Social: “Back by popular demand, for the first time in 20 years, the Emmy nominated ORIGINAL APPRENTICE STARRING PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP is back!!” Seasons 1-7 hit Amazon Prime Video that week, rolling out through April 27. The show that paved his path to the presidency is once again front and center.
