The Amber Dawn

Ingredients
  • 2 oz bourbon infused with dried apricots (steep bourbon with dried apricots for 24 hours)
  • 0.5 oz fennel honey syrup (mix honey, warm water, and a dash of crushed fennel seeds, then strain)
  • 0.75 oz blood orange juice (for a deep, rich citrus note)
  • 0.25 oz Amaro Montenegro (or another light herbal liqueur)
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • Garnish: A twist of blood orange peel and a small dried apricot
Instructions
  1. Combine infused bourbon, fennel honey syrup, blood orange juice, Amaro Montenegro, and orange bitters in a shaker.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass or a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
