Liberty Lemonade
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon whiskey
- 1/2 oz honey syrup
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 oz elderflower liqueur
- 2 dashes of orange bitters
- Lemon wheel, for garnish
- Mint sprig, for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prepare the honey syrup by combining equal parts honey and hot water, stirring until the honey is dissolved. Let it cool.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Pour in the bourbon whiskey, honey syrup, fresh lemon juice, elderflower liqueur, and orange bitters.
- Shake well until the outside of the shaker is frosted.
- Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and a sprig of mint.
